‘All Japan World’ coming to MotorEx 2026

The 2026 edition of Meguiar’s MotorEx (MotorEx 23) will see the debut of an all-new display precinct alongside the ten other themed areas that make up this massive automotive event. ‘All Japan World’ will celebrate the JDM tuning scene and Japan’s influence on car culture at MotorEx 23 on 2-3 May, 2026, at the Melbourne Showgrounds. 

Vehicle entries for his community curated addition to MotorEx opened at the end of January, and the response was immediate. All available slots for single day display car entry were filled in February, with only a handful of two-day (Sat, 2 May AND Sun 3 May) display spots still available at time of writing.

While the full vehicle entry list has yet to be revealed, expect to see Nissan Skyline GT-R (R32, R33 and R34) and GT-R R35, Honda NSX, Nissan S15/Silvia, Mazda MX-5, Toyota Supra, Honda S2000, Subaru WRX, Toyota Soarer/Lexus SC400, Mazda RX-7 and RX-8, Toyota MR2, Mitsubishi Lancer EVO, Nissan Z, Toyota 86 and many more.

In line with the other precincts at MotorEx, the focus of All Japan World is on built and modified vehicles, but there’s sure to be a few stockers as well. And as this is a curated display, you can expect to the best of the best from the Aussie JDM scene.

Beyond the cars, All Japan World will present Japanese-inspired food stalls and games. The precinct will also feature vendors that service the JDM tuning scene and Japanese car culture, like Garage Sokudo, Rupewrecht JDM Parts, Kokaine (Koka Dept.), Street Kulture Garage and the GT-R Festival Australia, with more to come.

Meguiar’s MotorEx will be held at the Melbourne Showgrounds (Epsom Rd, Ascot Vale) on Saturday, 2 May and Sun 3 May, 2026. Early Bird pre-purchase entry fees for spectators start at just $25 for adults on Sunday and $30 on Saturday, with $12.50 concession ($17.50 Saturday) and kids under 15 admitted FREE with a paying adult. Two-day tickets ($45/adult, $20/concession) are also available.
