CHI small block Chevy 18 degree heads benefit from a 1” higher intake port than conventional 23 degree heads.
A 226cc or 254cc as cast port or CNC ported option intake are designed for circle track or drag racers who want to benefit from huge horsepower increases over traditional performance chevy heads. The CHI 18 degree head features repositioned valves, moving them closer to the bore centreline significantly increasing potential flow to suit power well over 700HP.
The CHI 15 degree cylinder head is a rolled over version of the 18 degree head that uses all the same components (valves manifold etc) but with added advantage of a smaller combustion chamber (volumes in mid 40’s can be achieved) our 15 degree heads are available in the same port sizes as the 18 degree head with an CNC chamber of 55 cc, 15 and 18 degree heads are available CNC ported in a number of port sizes to suit your application.
As standard these heads come as standard with CNC machined combustion chamber, extra thick decks suitable for forced induction or nitrous applications. As cast intake ports are CNC matched to Felpro 1282 intake gaskets.
You have the option of bare heads or complete assemblies ready to bolt on. CHI 15 and 18 degree heads do not require any custom components, hardened valve seats and CHE Bronze Alloy valve guides make these heads suitable with unleaded fuels.
