COMP Cams® LS Timing Cover part # 5496 fits all GM LS Based blocks, OEM and aftermarket, including the RHS® LS Race Block. The cover has a unique design that allows it to work with both front and rear cam sensor LS engines. It however will not work with the LS7s unique oil pump and chain tensioner setup (Part # 5497 will).
The LS Covers feature provisions for a timing pointer, OEM camshaft sensor and any regular SBC crank trigger. The covers easily fit double roller timing chains and high pressure/volume oil pumps, and they come with a gasket and crank seal; no modifications needed.
